Beautiful view of Venus and Mercury together in a clear evening sky tonight. Had to get a shot!

I've displayed them at 1200 pixels wide, which nicely fits my monitor. Apologies if it's too large for yours...

Awww wow that looks really cool. Its fustrating 'cos where i live, from my window (east), my neighbours house is in the way so i can never see Venus now. I managed to get a little glimps of Venus last night but it just went behind their stupid roof again.. :/

Great shots! I tried to do a follow up pic, but couldn't find Mercury, due to a low band of high cloud [if that makes sense lol].

We are surrounded by trees, but fortunately from certain spots it is possible to get a low horizon in the west.

Too little exposure doesn't work - and to much and too much shake....

You'll be surprised what you can do with a blanket/jumper/whatever to prop up the camera. Just put the camera on self timer and expose normally.

A tripod does help though, and doesn't need to be expensive.
