This took some doing and was a combination of the 28 & 16 Uwans

It shows a 1.26° view of:

M84 mag 9.2

M86 mag 8.9

Ngc 4388 mag 11

Ngc 4402 mag 11.8

Ngc 4438 mag 10 & Ngc 4435 mag 10.8 AKA "The Eyes"

Which one is on the extreme right? It seems like you have captured some excellent mottled detail across its length

Those two are known as "The Eyes" the longer one is Ngc 4438.

that's a really helpful sketch to see, i am suposed to be getting out tonight to take my first look at these galaxies (I only got into deep sky a couple of years ago and i have always been looking elsewhere in the spring) but there is a thin veil of cloud hanging over york at the moment, the kind you can see the stars through but nothing else!

Mick that is truly a fantastic sketch. You have been very busy over the last few nights. I have enjoyed your other posted sketches as well - very well done. Sketching must really make you study these objects in more detail.

You do see alot more detail emerge the longer you study. My sketch normally takes about 25 minutes and in that time alot happens.
