4 images @ ISO 100 1/400th exposure, ND25 filter used, Revelation 80 + 350D

Stacked in Registax, wavelets tweaked, small gaussian blur, cropped

There's a lot of noise/artifacts Gaz - why is that?

Sorry, I must have sounded blunt - I didn't mean to.

Its just that at 100 iso, you shouldn't be getting any noise.

When you work on the image, is it saved each time as a jpeg? If so, how many times has it been re-saved? (If you work on a jpeg, every time you save, the jpeg process degrades the image further, producing more artefacts ).

Mine went into the bin from last night, too bright, nil contrast.

Why is the sky often very clear when theres a full moon :insects1:

Blimey! Just logged onto the laptop and it looks REALLY pants!!!

Steve, in answer, no, the only time it was saved as JPEG was for publishing, all other processing was done as 16 bit TIFFS.

Ah well, back to the drawing imaging board!! I'll take another look at how what I've done
