What, FOUR?

There are no less than FOUR active areas visible in white light today! OK, AR 1057 is now very close to the limb & AR 1059 is well past its prime, but there is a new group of small spots in the north east limb, and a very small spot and a pore associated with a small area of place just north of the centre of the disk - this one deserves to be watched closely. But four simultaneous ARs ... it's been a while since that happened!

The prominences are interesting too.

I have poor seeing, intermittent shower cloud & am expecting high cloud cover to spread in for the afternoon - but am trying to catch what I can.

I'll be taking a closer look when I return home. I've been trying tosee anything using a conbination of (not very good) eclipse specs from last years total, and a welders screen. The combination works well but obviously can't use any magnification, so just a pale green disc!
