2 inch Diagonals and Focusser Travel

Hi,

If anyone has made the switch from 1.25 to 2 inch diagonals recently - do the 2 inch ones need more inward focusser travel than the 1.25's ?.

I'm thinking of using a standard (ie: not dielectric) 2 inch Antares mirror diagonal in my refractors but some of my eyepieces already require some more inward focusser movement and I'm worried that I might run out with a 2 inch diagonal. I've currently got about 1 inch inward travel to spare with the most demanding eyepiece in this respect.

I've got both 2" and 1.25" diagonals at home - next time I'm out I'll check for you. If someone answers in the mean time I won't

I'm pretty certain that the answer will be yes though.

The 2" diagonal DOES push the eyepiece further away from the objective so you DO need more infocus travel. No idea how much though.
