my first eyepiece projection lunar image

Hi All

please find attached my first eyepiece projection lunar image, taken with a canon 20d, 17mm plossl and adapter, fitted to my 150mm 6 inch reflector. Single JPEG image taken at 1/10th sec, taken on 22.3.10.

Nice result Bob. Always nice to have success with a first time effort.

Have you tried Barlow projection. It too can give good results.

Webcam imaging of the moon is also a very rewarding activity, and they are often up for sale second hand at reasonable prices.

Just something to dwell on if Lunar Imaging is your main interest.

I've had a little play with your shot, hope you don't mind.

Just a bit more contrast to it. I can delete it if you prefer, no worries.

Cheers Ron...that has improved the image somewhat, and if you dont mind then I shall save and print your improved image. Yes I already have a webcam, but have yet to use it.
