M78 wth Neat Image

Not a patch on Peter's stunner but having just bought Neat Image the obvious one to reprocess was this which, despite its many many hours of exposure, was a mass of nasty speckles. I think it is less embarrassing, at least, now that Neat has had a go at it.

Next year I will come back and point the TEC at it in order to get better stars.

I wouldn't dream of comparing it with Peter's. Besides, I couldn't make any useful technical points. If I like, I say.

i think its very comparable to mine olly, its a super shot and having imaged it i know what a pig it is....yes its a very bright reflection nebula but that dust lane is where the difficulty lies and you have some of the emission nebula coming through too.....neat image doesnt seem to have lost to much of the sharpness to the overall look.....

i think a superb result olly and well worth the time reprocessing
