Salisbury Plain Fri 12 and Sat 13 Mar

Recommended Posts

Friday 12 March sees us meeting at the Red Lion, kilmington 2000 BA12 6RP for some new moon observing. We are saying goodbye to the winter highlights and hello to the spring galaxies.

Saturday 13 will see us heading up to Calne for the Wilts Astro Messier marathon. I don't have details to hand so post to follow.

We meet for the Wiltshire Astronomical Society Messier Marathon at the crossroads on the Ridgeway, off the Calne-Devizes road, along from the North Wilts Golf club.

This is a long night and normally gets very cold indeed; we have had snow and ice in past sessions. Only a few hardy souls have lasted the night, with 78 targets seen last year.

We meet around 7 to 7.30pm on the Saturday; if you'd like to come along and need contact details or further directions, do please PM me.
