M27 from Kielder autumn Star Camp

I just found this whilst looking through an old disk! I think I did a rough stack whilst at Kielder but it never looked good. Went back to it tonight and now really like it! I assume it was taken with my ED80 and modded 350d.

Now the background looks too bright! or is it just me?

It's probably the plethora of stars giving the Impression of a bright background Craig. It doesn't look untoward at all.

Lovely widefield, and nicely processed.

How did you miss this, you must have had loads of cracking pics. to let this slip by.

Lovely. Great to see the planetaries in context, especially when you think that all those stars are going to do something interesting one day!

Thats better - did a quick false mask and subtracted it. The gradient is now a lot better.

Very nice Craig It's good to find nice old data lurking on your hard drive during these cloudy times. The star field has fanatstic colour lots of older golden stars.
