Another image of the Moon captured at 20:36:38 UT on February 22nd 2010 using a Pentax K20D DSLR in RAW mode with a No. 25 red filter at ISO 400 and a shutter speed of 1/45 second through a Celestron CPC 925 GPS at prime focus.

This is a combination of two 14 megapixel images of the northern and southern hemispheres converted to JPEG and stitched together in Microsoft ICE then post processed and reduced in size in PaintShop Pro X.

It always amazes me how ICE will combine two or more images without any apparent seam and all automatically without any intervention from the user. I am also impressed with the amount of detail that can be seen close to the terminator with even Rupes Recta clearly identifiable.

Thanks for looking.
