First Scope

both good scopes, i had a similar choice 3 weeks ago when buying my 1st scope and i went for the 130p, i cant comment on the 127 but im more than happy with the 130p its a very good scope for the price

While we're on the subject of beginner scopes, would there be a significant difference between a 130mm and a 150mm newt? Clearly the 150mm will capture significantly more light, but is that extra inch going to mean substantially brighter DSO's?

I ask of course because the 150P is a fair bit more than the 130, and i'm wondering if the price difference would be better spent on a quality eyepiece.
