Hi

A set of 2 pairs of images taken with my C80ED & my SW 200PDS. Images taken with the 200PDS were taken at ISO1600, 30X 1MINS, 10X BIAS, 10X FLATS & the C80ED at ISO800, 8X 2MINS, 10X BIAS, 10X FLATS, 4X DARK FLATS, all images processed with DSS+GX+PSP+SSP.

thanks Amanda, i think i've been asleep for the past few months regarding imaging stuff, missed out on a few goodun's, but some more interesting images are coming into view now.

Welcome back Nadeem.

It's great to see a comparison of the same object with 2 scopes even (if at 90 degrees to each other :eek:). The Beehive is way too big to fit onto a DSLR sensor with 1m focal length, but does the SW200PDS have enough inward travel for a focal reducer, (my C8N definitely doesn't :evil6:)?

Bit curious as to why to used ISO1600 with the SW200 as that already has over 6x light gathering of the 80ED.

Great images in any case.

The new 200PDS stock focuser has enough inward travel with the Coma Corrector, funny enough the image was taken with a Moonlite fitted. You would have to change the focuser on the C8N to a low profile one.
