Cant get the RGB/k to align in DSS on M42

Hey all, I went out tonight to try imaging again, and I managed to get some data, and I got an AVi which I sorted out and extracted the images and left with 17 x 15 sec BMP stills of the M42. So I load them up in DSS along with my darks and following the advice of drizzle off, and using the recommended settings I stack the images and it looks terrible.

The problem is that no matter what I do with the sliders, I cant get the blue to go to a peak and it stays shallow curve, and everything I adjust the images will not balance the colours to bring out the details. I have looked on here and read a few tutorials on the net and I cant get a decent image from it.

Any help is appreciated or is it just my images are no good to edit in DSS. thanks in advance.
