The Helix (NGC-7293)

Here's my first time to find this target. Plus, I'm trying out a new (old-well used) lens . It's a Nikon 180mm used on my Canon XT with an adapter. I wasn't sure if it would even focus to infinity. I hope to do better as I get used to the lens and give it more exposure time. But, I was glad to just be able to image it at all since it is so low on my southern horizon.

You should see this lens..it's scratched and chipped. But, still did ok...I can only imagine what a New ($500) one would do...

Now i,m Jealous Doug , i have always wanted to get this devil , but its so low down , i could prob get it from my holiday home , maybe try next year as its to low now from here and there, nice image to start Doug ,
