Hi all

Fighting the clouds last night I managed to get a couple of sketches when they cleared away for a time.

I hope you like them.

M81

A bright nucleus dominates this galaxy, I could detect no details in the nebulous outer shell.

M82

Very elongated and I could see a dark dark that intersected the galaxy around the midway point.

NGC 2362

I was delighted to bag this one, it has a declination of -24 and was low to the horizon. It is dominated by the star Tau Canis Majoris and I believe that there are many more stars than I could pull in. I would imagine that from a more southerly location this cluster would be quite a sight.

Great sketches. I love that NGC 2362 cluster! One I've never seen. You must have a pretty flat southern horizon. My dec limit is about -10 from my back garden

I got new neighbours about two months ago and they cleared a lot of bushes and shrubs and it has really opened up my southerly views.
