ImageJ Vs CS4

So, I'm using ImageJ to remove the background of an image and enhance the contrast and am really please with the results. I load it up in CS4 and see something different. Here is a screenshot, what's going on here?

What method did you use in ImageJ?

I used the enhance contrast option, I enhanced each colour channel separately. The image shows CS4 and ImageJ with the same image loaded though, they display the same data differently. It's just a little befuzzling.

I think tif files allow you to embed a profile into the image without changing the data. Looks like CS4 is ignoring the profile (or I could be talking complete....)

You should be able to do the same in Photoshop though...
