Modern Astronomy - Planetary eyepiece & good customer experience

Recommended Posts

  • 3 months later...

I chose the 5mm one, which gives me 200x in my 120mm refractor - which is pushing it a bit really. I still get amazing views of Saturn, and in january i picked out the ice cap and Syrtis Major on Mars. I cant fault this eyepiece it is one of the best things i have bought, they are highly rated for the price.

It would be helpuf if anyone could share experience with the 15mm, 20mm and 25mm focal lengths. These are newer TS Planetary HR eyepieces and supposed to be of the same design.

Id be keen to know that as well, be good to get a set of them to trial :)

Nice one. I think I may well go for the 6mm. Anyone here tried/own it?

I've used the TS Planetaries from 3.2mm to 7mm focal lengths and there are uniformly good. The ones with focal lengths longer than 9mm are pretty new to the range - could be that nobody has used one yet - who wants to be the Guinea Pig ?.
