Locking screw for RA indicator...

As many people have discovered, the RA scale on the HEQ5 locks to the wrong place when you tighten the screw down. Instead of locking to the rotating shaft of the drive, it locks to the non-moving section. This means that trying to use the RA scale to locate objects is fairly useless.

So, the key to this is drill a small hole in the scale itself and use a screw to lock it to the shaft. Now, I could use a self-tapper, but wondered if there is something a little more ...... elegant. Something like the little thumb screws found on the slo-mo controls from an EQ1 for example, but longer.

Anyone know where I might find such a thing??

Dunno why a simple socket set bolt won't do?

After some rummaging I have found a suitable bolt - just need to tap the hole and all should be well

I have a jar full of knurled screws at work, from the backs of some older computers we got rid of a while ago. They are brass, too. If you want a couple, PM me your address.
