Frigid night in Feb

Braving the ice on the pavement and the newly fallen dusting of snow, the skies looked to be clear of flurries for a time. A quick setup with the astrotrac easily aligned visually to Polaris as the Plough is oriented vertical above the house and points straight to it! Added a Pentax *ist DL (23mm lens setting) with manual shutter release and get settled for a 30 min session before the fingers and toes froze! Please with the results, first of 2010.

A nice set of images Sheri, you might even have captured Vesta in the first shot, how about taking a series of photo's of Leo to see if you can see it moving?

Cheers Kevin. Very pleased with that image. The light pollution was quite strong so very pleased that much detail was obtainable in a single frame.
