Mars 30th/31st

This is my first image for a long long time. I found it a real struggle getting the enthusiasm to drag out the laptop and setup the camera. Quite annoyed now but at the time i could only be bothered to take 4 avis, 3 of which were just finding my feet jobs and instantly deleted. So only 1 avi taken

Specs were:

Date/Time: 31st January 2010 00:30

Eqiupment: Meade 8" SCT, Philips vesta 675, Celestron Ultima 2x

Image: Capured with Cratlet, 761 frames, stack size 242. Resized 150% in Registax 5 and cropped in Paint.

I'm quite pleased with the end result, wasn't expecting anything

Nice image, I know what you mean about imaging - I got frustrated with imaging and have now started drawing. The involvement you get from visual observation is very satisfying.

I think drawing is the route i'm going to take as well. I couldn't wait to pack away the webcam and get back to the eyepiece.

Went through the AVI again, added a few more frames (now 290). I think there's nothing more i can do (except hope for another clear night soon before Mars shrinks).
