Mars - At last

After major collimation issues I finally got my chance with Mars last night. Not the best picture I've seen on here by far but at least I can say it's mine. - What a beautiful night - shame about the slight breeze but otherwise very clear.

Thanks Carlo - I think that's about as good as it will get with my setup. About the only thing I could try now is using the DSLR instead of the Meade LPI but it all gets a bit precarious on a 5x barlow sticking out of the side of the newt. - Might try it tonight though if there's any clear sky.

Well done, Sparrow. Great image. I have also had collimation problems with my C8 SCT - crossed fingers these are sorted. I hope I can image Mars as well as you have tonight or else .

I found the Astrobaby guide for collimation invaluable along with the Cheshire collimator.
