Skywatcher Dob baseboard

What is under the baseboad of the current 8 inch Dobs from Skywatcher. Does it stand on anything, such as rubber feet, metal feet, nothing ??

It stands on plastic feet, about an inch tall.

Dobserver how well does it behave on rough surfaces? I have a local dark site, but I'm thinking a dob might not work well on a rough/unevent/non flat surface,

You need to get alll 3 feet firmly on the ground so it will not wobble. You could replace the standard feet with something bit larger / taller for rugged terrain.

If the scope is tilted too much it will swing around under it's own weight as the bearings (deliberately) don't provide much friction.

Or you could take along a sheet of marine ply or suchlike and stand the dob on that?
