ic410 in narrow band

ive been working on this for a couple of nights now, its been quite difficult to process and pull out the faint stuff.

exposure times were an Hour in Ha, 2hours 50mins in S2 and an hour and 30mins in O3, with the usual kit

i will probably get some rgb data for the stars and get rid of the magenta star glow

Hi Peter

Very nice image, the tadpoles are showing very well, what exposure times are you using. I am now using 20 minutes with f5 and a lot more detail is coming out

gordon, im still on 10min subs, i need to refine my polar alignment before i start doing longer subs, i am getting a very slight rotation at ten mins at this resolution,

this object really needs longer subs, 15mins plus for the faint stuff

Very nice Peter, i've just started on these myself in NB. I was surprised how little came out from even 20 min subs with the 7nm ha filter (f5.3), I spent 3hr 20 mins on them but think will double that. Might just be that the transparency was very poor.

it is quite a faint object, you dont get much for your money with this one it really needs alot more exposure and i feel this shot is lacking in contrast a little, i might keep working on it.
