Hello everyone,

I have always had a passing interest in Astronomy; watching Sky at Night, knowing how to find Polaris and naming some of the constellations

Imagine My surprise when I opened a large and heavy box on Christmas morning to find that my wife had bought me a "Celestron AstroMaster EQ 130"

With shaking hands I followed the instructions and assembled it and waited for a clear night....and waited...and waited

Still, it will clear up soon I hope and I can start what I imagine will become a new hobby

I hope to attend SG5 to meet other "newbies" and also to gain experience from experienced stargazers

Thanks for listening......

(By the way ...I live in Leeds..is there a local group in SGL?)
