Tec 140, deal struck!

To back up the widefield Tak FSQ I have just struck a deal on a Tec 140 for longer focal length imaging. Well, if it is as good as the Tak it should make a few people happy. There is the small problem of how to get it here from the UK. Where there's a will (and there is!) there's a way.

We've got some friends with a place not too far from Angouleme and are trying to fix a date to head down either May or September to make the most of some dark skies.

They're building a place too so I'll have to have words with them about an observation terrace!

My dad used to live in Limoges until a few months ago, his back in Derbyshire now. Used to live in a little hamlet called Fleurat. I visited a few times, really dark round there.
