A very quick Mars

Taken recently, 29th dec Just 1 min 30 secs, the last 30 secs badly dim as i had gain on max with a falling brightness as the mist just killed the capture as it went a long, Meade 8" SCT DFK. 3x TV barlow. I rushed focus because i could see it coming. This weather is Naff, i want to try my 12" spx at considerably higher power, just cant get the chance. Will be getting my old 10" Europa back soon, way hey, i loved that scope so portable ( compared to the 12 ) the optics set are darn good. Happy new year to all. This little meade is now for sale

What set up you used to take this image?

do you remember IC capture settings?

It was 90 secs with the 8" Ramis, gain on max exposure 1/30 th, 30 fps, no gamma, or brightness, 50% contrast and saturation.

Very good detail consideing the weather challenges you had to endure. I look forward to seeing what the 12" will do. I hope you get better weather soon being that I enjoy your lunar and planetary images very much.
