Maxim DL & Filterwheel Issues

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have maxim DL 5, which i have used for some time working fine with my trusty old Starlight MX916 & the True-Technology Superslim motorized wheel.

I recently upgraded my camera to a QHY9 but this seems to have issues working with the True-Technology filterwheel in Maxim.

As soon as i try and do a Dark, it bombs Maxim without any errors, If i try a R,G,B filter it just hangs saying waiting for filter wheel.

I then put my old starlight camera on and it worked fine again.

I've went to the point ofcompletely rebuiling my laptop with a fresh install of XP, Maxim and all associated drivers, but i get the same problem.

Is anyone else out there using this same combination ? or does anyone have any idea of things i should check.

i got a similar problem between artemis cameras and triffid cameras. I went to the same lengths as you including a complete re-install of xp but this did not solve the problem. In the end i worked out that the artemis kept thinking it was a nugget camera instead of an artemis. I uninstalled the artemis and all my other items worked pefectly. in the end i had to somehow force the artemis to accept its own driver. I have heard that qhy like the early atik (artemis) cameras do not have the most stable drivers on the market, so that is where i would look 1st
