So, who's got astro presents for Christmas?

Recommended Posts

My 8" Skywatcher Dobsonian 200P finally arrived and so was a belated xmas present! No clear skies for 2 days means I still haven't been able to use it though!

i got photoshop cs3, should help with the processing. But i'm saving up my shekels and pocket money and any other currencies i can get my hands on for a visit to astrofest in london, which usually sees me parting with hard earned dosh in a mad buying fest. actually just want a televue reducer/flattner for my imaging.

As a newbie, Christmas was a great time to stock up with bits and bobs from the family to go with my new Nexstar 6SE.

  • Thermal underwear - tres sexy but oh so warm
  • Those combination fold-back mittens/fingerless gloves
  • Buff polar hat - which my student son says is v. cool
  • Antares focal reducer
  • Bhatinov mask
  • T-adaptor for some prime focus photography with my Canon 350D
  • 200mm f3.5 Vivitar off e-bay for some piggy-back work.

No surprises as my family gets pretty specific with its Xmas and birthday lists.

But boy has that thermal gear come in useful in the last couple of weeks!
