PHENIX REFRACTOR.

This p.m. I was in WH Smiths browsing the astro mags. One of them, S at N I think, gave a positive review on a Phenix 4" short tube refractor. Price with mount was, I think. £245.

Thought I would mention this as Phenix scopes often appear on ebay and opinions on this brand seem to be quite " diverse"

I had the 5" 9.4 refractor (James has it now) it's a great scope. But S@N tend to "go easy" on some of their reviews IMO.

Yes the scope is a good un ya wont go far wrong with one it's esp good as a planetry lunar scope being f9.4 and 5".

The scope is good but I would look for a diffrent mount.
