Half the Iridium satellites...

Trying to keep track of what's actually up there is a bit of a headache, but I checked my numbers tonight, and I have seen 43 separate Iridium satellites since I started watching, some six years ago. Four of the satellites on my list are no longer operational, and it's a little hard to count because the status of some satellites is uncertain, but there are about 74 -76 oprational satellites up there, and I've seen 39 of them, so some time early this year, I passed the halfway mark.

I saw an Iridium Flare in Buckhaven on Thursday, no. 70, and it was a new one to my list.

Congrats on seeing that many...That's a lot of waiting and watching for a phantom-ish satellite. I've only seen 5-6 and have enjoyed them. So, I can imagine the memories you have from watching so many.

I see satellites most nights but to be honest i never look them up. I was looking at m13 the other day when a satelite came across my x40 view which was nice..... but then right after a 747 came across my FOV and scared the Rubbish out of me!
