Just took up looking at the skies as a hobby and so far so good.

Hoping that this site will give me a few pointers in the right direction.

Bought a Celestron Astromaster 70EQ and probably should have waited and gone for a more expensive scope but its too late now!

The moon has been impressive and Jupiter has also been good to look at, however the highlight for me so far was looking out at 4am last week for my first glimpse of Saturn .

Heres hoping for clear skies the forecast for the next few nights doesn't look too bad up here, cold though .

Welcome to SGL. You will get loads of advice here. I made the same mistake and jumped in with a scope before reading advice here. Just need to save up now and get a really good one. Try Orion as well my fav in the sky so much going on. I had about a hour looking at saturn this morning.
