First Light 1000d & Nexstar 8 GPS

I have just finished processing the test shot I took with my new 1000d through my nexstar 8 GPS. I think I need a lot more practice and more subs

Excellent results! I would try for longer exposures, but watch out for image rotation.

These are good, Darren - you have already identified the main issues, more subs! Your star shapes are good so you could probably up the exposure time to 30 or even 40 seconds before field rotation becomes an issue.

well done i had the se6 and managed between 1 and half to two min subs all i used to do was make sure spot on level one star align go to my intended object and realingn on it. then sync on it worked spot on every time
