Has anyone any experience of using this camera for imaging.

In particular, does anyone know how to get it to 'show up' in AstroVideo.

I can find it as a Twain device but then can't get any of the video properties to show up, they are greyed out.

What I can do is use the Canon ZoomBrowser application that came on the CD with the camera to capture sets of images with exposures up to 15s and then load them into DeepSkyStacker.

Any ideas?

I used a Powershot A610 for my first forays into imaging and I thought it served me rather well. I used an adapter that screwed into my Baader Hyperion eyepieces I owned at the time and went on from there. Like you, I used lots of 15 second exposures and stacked them in deep sky stacker.

Here's some of my efforts: Stargazers Lounge - Whippy's Album: Afocal shots .
