NGC7000 Gentle Reprocess

OK,

This I promise is the final posting of this object by me! I redit it (again) and this time I really only did a levels/curves to it. Do you think it or the original os the best?

Both very nice and very different images blinky.... personal preference , I like the colours in the harsher version but the softness of the second version....

I like the 2nd version Craig, but beuty is in the eye of the beholder. Which ever one you think, they are all crackers.

I am finding this very interesting, everybody seems to have a favourite one! I had originally thought that we would reach some sort of agreement but it seems it really is down to the individual.

My fav right now (and this may change tomorrow!) is the last one, it has a touch of blue and the star colours are a little better, I like the smoothness of this as compared to image 1.

First reprocess works for me, second one is a little overdone. The image looks a bit pink rather than red, I take it you used an unmodded DSLR? Great detail though.

The second version by a country mile. The first image could be used as a demonstration of over processing, the second image just shows the data and is massively better for it. I know it's subjective though!

Thanks for the comments guys, Martin, on looking back I do agree the first is too over processed - I just dont know when to stop sometimes!! It's tempting just to push it that little bit further.....
