Uranus and Mars

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Had a go at capturing Uranus and Mars last night. Uranus at about 11 o'clock Friday 16 October 2009 and Mars at about 6:30 Saturday October 17th. Best I can say about tham is that Uranus is the blue blob and mars the orange one.

Both captured using wxAstro Capture at 5fps and stacked and processed in Registax 5 using a Celestron Neximage attached to a Celestron CPC 925 GPS and Skywatcher 2x ED barlow.

I wasn't expecting any better of Uranus considering its great distance from Earth and small angular size, but I was hoping to tease some detail out of Mars.
