eyepieces to suit sct scope

Recommended Posts

The Meade 4000's are good value - I use them in my C6 and C9.25 - you can pick then up as for as little as £20-£25. I got most of mine on ebay. For a bit more you can get the Meade 5000 plossls which are 5 element as opposed to the 4000 4 elements. They are very underated IMHO and generally, get good reviews and have decent eyerelief for a plossl. I picked all of mine (5.5, 9, 14, 26 & 32) up secondhand as good as new for between £30 and £60. Excellent buy really. As others have said, long focus scopes such as SCT's are vey tolerant of eyepiece design, so no need to spend a fortune. And they work not too badly on my short focus scopes as well.
