ombos
Me again folks, sorry but I dont have the standard instruction book with my Canon 400D and the downloaded one is does not tell me how to change the pic format to RAW. The more I'm learning about taking pics the more I realise just how difficult this topic is But slowly I'm starting to get some pics under my belt but never relised that they should be taken in the RAW mode lol. ombos
Answered my own question folks but it may help someother poor person like myself: First put your camera on one of the `creative` settings,Manual or AV, then press the menu button. In the first `camera` icon go to quality then press set. From here you can adjust from large, medium, small and RAW.You cannot access this setting if the camera is in full auto. Merlin66
Press the menu button on the rear of the camera; on the first screen, highlight the Quality line, press set and then on the next screen select "raw", press set. That's it!

Beyond_Vision
It's also worth setting it to save raw and jepgs at the same so that you use the jepg to quickly review a image and the raw for the processing.RegardsKevin
