The way I see it, Pluto should be a baseline for any further planets in the SS. Anything smaller than Pluto, then its asteroid, anything bigger, it's a Planet.

Some people/scientists just try and make life complected for themselves.

I think Gaz is right. Pluto was called a Planet and Tombaugh did a great job finding it. Any other KBOs are exactly that - KBOs. Unless another object (much) larger than Pluto is found in a planetary orbit, then KBOs are KBOs - except Pluto (for historical reasons). I suppose there is the possibility in what I said above that a small object in planetary orbit is found (say 10% smaller than Pluto) - if that is in the KB, then it is a KBO, if it isn't in the KB, then.........hmmmmm? :insects1:

I am not sure that Kain is right on this one - does size matter? (of itself).
