Lx 10" OTA on an EQ6 pro....

I was surprised when I weighed the 10" Lx OTA, it came in at 14.7Kg.

Thinking of using an EQ6pro mount which has a rated capacity of 20Kg. Has anyone got some experience with a similar set-up???

Its my current "main" setup, I'm mainly a visual user with a bit of lunar imaging thrown in and the mount is perfectly fine for these uses.

Sorry I can't comment on its DSO imaging suitability but the mount doesn't 'feel' like its starting to struggle with the weight of the scope.....

I have managed my 10" SCT and an 80mm Equinox on my EQ6 with no problems.

Deep sky imaging I can do 2 minute exposures without any guiding before drifting/trailing becomes too evident.

I'm looking to mount the Littrow spectroscope (1.2Kg) on the 10" Lx OTA, and it sounds like the EQ6pro is probably the way to go forward.

I've used a C11 plus accessories on my EQ6 pro and it worked fine. It requires 3x 5kg counterweights or an extended cw bar and damp down is more than I would typically be happy with for deep sky use, but I use it for planetary anyway.
