PROBLEM 1

HEQ5 Synscan - 3 star align. 2 hours last night trying to get alignment again!!!! I was using a ccd cam with cross hairs so the alignment was bang on, but kept getting a fail. But after about the 20th go it worked and I had done nothing different to the previous attempts apart from updating the time each go.

PROBLEM 2

Imaging all night, everything going fine until the end of the night when I was doing darks (4 AM) All of my darks have got a white block across the top of the image (QHY8) any idea whats causing that?

Any help, ideas would be gratfully recieved cos its doing my head in, I was getting ready to chuck the lot over the fence last night

With the QHY8 (an almost noise free Sony chip), I doubt taking darks is worth the effort.
