Should i Flip my Moon pics ?

Recommended Posts

i think it depends a lot on who you intend to see it. if it's other astronomers then no need to flip it but if its for "the general public" then it may be benificial for it to look the same as they see should they ever bother to look up.

I always rotate or flip mine so they match the orientation as seen through binoculars (i.e. the right way up with North at the top). Others will argue that lunar images should be orientated to show the telescopic view with south at the top. I also think you should always have east and west correct so that the viewer doesn't see a mirror image of what he would see through a scope. But really at the end of the day it's all down to personal preference. Do what you think looks best.
