Kelling Heath - Autumn 2010!

Just a quickie to let everyone know that the dates for the 2010 autumn equinox star party at Kelling Heath have just been announced. It's the weekend of 11th/12th September.

The site has started taking bookings. I've booked up already!:hello2:

Thanks for the heads up. I have just tried to book a place and was informed that they are not taking bookings until people arrive next week

As I'm going on Tuesday it should still be ok.

Just to add that New Moon is on the Wed 8th, so the best nights should be in the week before the main weekend rather than the following week (unless of course your target is the Moon)

Looks like a change of policy since this morning - perhaps I was so quick of the mark that I caught them off guard.

I rang yesterday and they said the fee's for next year had yet to be decided and no bookings will be taken until next week.

Here's hoping we still get a pitch for £10 per night.

Hi All

I booked just before leaving and red field all gone about 4 left on yellow which leaves blue ,so back on blue as better option that what was left on yellow.That was at 10:30 this morning(Sunday)

PS pukka weekend and some never to be forgot views on the 20" Dob at stargazers lounge site,sorry forgot his name who owns it.

The red field was virtually booked by 8:30 on the Friday morning!! Cost next year is £12 per pitch - still a bargain though!

We walked up to re-book for 2010. We got there at 7:45 - 45 minutes before the reception opened...

There were 17 people in the queue ahead of us, the person at the front had been there since 6:45

By the time we left there was almost nothing left on Red.

nobody going to kelling in april last year was better than sepetember observing wise

cold clear nights both nights i have booked april and sepetember love it ,have any of you tried the dalby forest starfest ?????? . have to go off to astrofest in morning
