jgs001
I had a bash with Startrails, combining the 83 frames I'd taken trying to capture the Perseids... First go at this, and I know there's nothing interesting in the foreground, but this was an aside to capturing the Perseids...
brendant
Fantastic capture John, and a Perseid to boot, well done.Brendan
barkis
You don't need a foreground John. All the action is at the rear:D.Very nice trails pic., and a Perseid top round it off has to be Ace.Ron.
jgs001
Cheers guys. I'm afraid that's not a Perseid although there's at least 4 in there somewhere... That's an Iridium flare, about mag -6 I reckon... I watched it pass... A quick edit... some neat little tricks you can do.. et voila, no planesClick the image for a bigger version. Ant
I do like a nice star trail show. The Flare just makes it better - Can't see the meteors though?Ant
jgs001
Cheers Ant, you can barely see the perseids on the individual frames in the first place.. no danger of seeing them in this mix... There's one just above M31, one a little above that, and two upper right ... Good Luck...The Flare is in line with the top of Cassie, and pretty much the trail starts just to the right of Cassie and the peak of the flare is just above M31.
