Thought i'd post a link to ESO's "The Messenger" journal, which is free online here:

as it's probably of interest to some people here but doesn't seem to be very well known. It covers news about the technical and science goings on at ESO (the European Southern Observatory), written in a not-too-technical style for public consumption - I find it to be an enjoyable read. If you find the more science based articles in S@N, AN etc. of interest then you'll probably find something to suit you here, and anybody interested in the more technical side of backyard astronomy (CCD imaging, spectroscopy etc.) will too.
