First Full Moon Image Last Night

Here's my first attempt at imaging the full moon. Used a C80ED, Televue 2.5 powermate and Canon 300D. With the powermate the image just about fills the viewfinder. Picture was taken about 2.30AM (Just before the wife came in from the pub and locked me out!), still plenty of instability in the atmosphere.

Suggestions (about the photo, not the wife) please?

Obviously not the best time to image the moon but the edges seem tack sharp

Very nice indeed Alan. If you have Photoshop (or even download Gimp for free) you could probably take down the brightness of the highlighted regions and bring up the colour in the Maria if you wanted to (but still a perfectly lovely sharp image anyway, just has lots more potential I suspect)

Very nice image. Did you know that there was a penumbral eclipse of the moon last night and the earth's shadow should be visible on your photo. At 2.30am the shadow appears in the bottom left corner of your photo - give a go in photoshop if you have it.

Thanks for the comments. I'll double check the time on photo and look the for the shadow.
