Been a few weeks since I posted a new image so here is the Iris Nebula 30 x 8 minutes ISO 800 Takahshi 106N and Canon 40D

A very nice image Les, the darker nebula shows up really well. I imagine it's quite tricky getting the processing right to bring out the dark nebula.

Les this looks superb. I did try this last year but struggled to get a good image. I think this object looks great taken in wide field. The dark dusty areas look superb

It was a very nice night very clear and dark great view of the Milkyway and had some great view through a 22" Dob with OIII filter of the Veil nebula thanks to Bob for setting up the big gun for the night

Very nice image Les. I am not familiar with this nebula, so had a look at its location and its way too far north for me to ever see at +68 degrees.

Thanks Lester, its allways a Bum deal when you see something you would like to try but find its either behind a tree or too low to see

It was tuff to process with the darks never mind without them but with the darks it makes a much smoother image
