Try using Irfanview with CADImage - (version 7.2.1.7) This allows IrfanView to read DXF/DWG/HPGL/CGM/SVG files (Shareware, third party plugin).

Newest versions are under:- http://www.cadsofttools.com/download/irfanviewplugins.zip .

Irfanview is my standard opening tool since I found it some years ago. Hope this helps.
