M20 Trifid

[minimalist]

Not as photogenic as the Bubble, but interesting in its own right. A difficult object to image from my back yard. 7x20mins at iso800, not enough exposures to tame down noise or sharpen anything up. The reflection part actually extends all around, but just barely visible here.

I was looking at M20 (on a star chart) and thinking it would be nice to have a go, but it's so low...

You did really well getting the detail you did. The colours are nice as well.

Thank you guys, much appreciated. Yep, it is pretty low, not as low as M8 which is hopeless from my obsy. I do have a field kit I may try this summer on M8 though, if I can find a spot where I can see it.
