HEQ5 PRO - Synscan question

Hi all,

I have recently purchased the above from a fellow SGL member and it is simply brilliant

One thing that has me slightly puzzled though is that I have looked up my latitude and longitude on the web and double checked it on my satnav and both say the same as per the below satnav photo. However the Synscan handset refuses to take the 000 69 figure. Any ideas what I am doing wrong please ?

The handset needs your latitude and longitude in degrees minutes and seconds, i.e. 003 02 35.

Give me a mo and I'll work out the actual degrees minutes and seconds for you...

You need to enter co-ords in degrees and minutes, so 0.69664 is 0 degrees 41.8 minutes. 52.2565 degrees should be entered as 52 degrees 15.4 minutes.

This site gives:

52° 15' 23.4"

0° 41' 47.904"

So you'll need to enter the following in the handset:

000E 41 48 (Longitude)

52N 15 23 (Latitude)

If it doesn't need the seconds then it'll be 000E 42 and 52N 15

Oo does it do seconds? I defer to James' greater knowledge of EQ5 handsets!

No deferment needed - I can't remember! I think it takes seconds in longitude but not latitude....?
