"Afocal" Moon 10.07.09

Recommended Posts

Managed to drag myself out of a warm bed at 2.45am! (glad it's Friday, as I'm shattered in work here).

Attached my Canon A570is digicam to my C8is and took several (21) pics of the Moon. These are about the best. (Could have done with a slower shutter speed). Used a Celestron 40mm Plossl and zoomed camera to it's max 4x (Optical Zoom). Sharpened pics using "Picasa."

Regards,

It's always worth the sacrifice Phils.

Touch over exposed as you say, but not bad on the whole.

Handheld Afocal can be a Lottery.

Get some sleep now mate.:).

Afocal = tricky in my book! Done well though. Seems a few of us were out late last night, suffering sleep deprivation here as well.

Nice results. A touch overexposed, but very good, Try highlights and shadows ?

I didn't get out but I'm still suffering from lack of sleep...

Many thanks for your kind comments fellas!

It's sort of comforting in a way knowing that others are out there with you (in spirit anyway) in the wee small hours! If there was only a way in which the clear night's could be pre-arranged for Friday nights!

Yes, I'll keep working on these "afocal" photos, until I get them as good as can be got! Then, perhaps I'll move on to the serious stuff!

Thanks again,

Philsail1.
